✎.. Woo! We made our first company visit for outreach to the Austin precision Machining and Manufacturing with almost the whole team! Our primary purpose is to visit the Austin precision Machining and to manufacture to expose the team to industry concepts, such as business tactics like time management and efficient manufacturing process and real-world machinery that engineers use today.
Once we arrived as a team, we were quickly introduced to the co-owner of the company, where she helped give us a quick tour around the company. After having a short tour, our team split up into groups of 2 to 3 people. Each group split up to different areas of the facility and visited each worker, where they prepared a short presentation and an activity for us.
Overall, our team has enjoyed the company visit to Austin Precision Machining and Manufacturing, where we got to see what our futures in engineering would look like! We are very thankful for each worker who helped with the visit, as it couldn't have been possible without them. To conclude, we learned and gained some recommendations as to what our design process this year could look like! 12596 Copperhead is thankful!
